Dr. Carter’s therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on various evidence-based interventions including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). Therapy is tailored to each individual depending on their needs and goals.
Dr. Carter prioritizes creating a strong collaborative therapeutic alliance with her clients and a warm, non-judgemental space to help clients figure out and achieve their goals.
Virtual Therapy
Sessions can be offered virtually via Zoom.
Research has shown that virtual therapy is as effective as in-person therapy.
